I didn't start my career in steel. I started it in spreadsheets. After completing my MMS in Finance from Kohinoor Business School, I spent over three years at CRISIL Limited analysing fixed income securities — commercial paper, certificates of deposit, and primary and secondary market issuances. I learned how to read data, spot risk, and build long-term relationships with institutional clients. But steel was always in my blood. My family has been in the flanges and pipe fittings trade for over 25 years through Alpha Traders — one of Mumbai's established ISO 9001:2015 certified suppliers of forged flanges and industrial pipe fittings, operating out of Darukhana, Byculla. After CRISIL, I joined Alpha Traders to learn the business from the ground up. Starting as Assistant Manager, I worked my way up to Manager over nearly three years — understanding procurement, quality standards, supplier relationships, client servicing, and the full supply chain of industrial piping materials. That combination — financial discipline from CRISIL, hands-on trade experience from an ISO-certified family business — is what gave me the foundation to start my own venture. In November 2024, I founded Metal Moulding India. Today, we are a Mumbai-based manufacturer, supplier, and stockist of forged flanges and industrial pipe fittings — serving the oil & gas, power, petrochemical, and construction industries.
